Hello J.A. there are a few links I can share with you, but I'm not sure if you have access to academic/research papers (they're quite expensive) I'm a uni student so I get free access. Anyway, there are a few sides to this pronoun debate (as related by renowned psychologists) from the perspective of those who identify as non-binary. Some of them feel very strongly that the ability to define their own pronouns helps them, others feel that being asked about their pronounced is an invasion of their privacy, others feel pressured into 'coming out' when they are still unsure how they feel about their gender and prefer to just let people make assumptions based on their physical appearance.
