I'm not a runner, but this was really interesting. My husband has had a lifelong struggle with cold sores. He tried all that the pharmacy had to offer with very little effect. About 2 years ago we heard that some people use honey (they apply it topically on the spot as soon as they feel the cold sore coming on). He tried it and has never looked back, the honey heals the cold sore before it has a chance to flare up - it's wonderful!
