In the case of the Pope denying gay men priesthood, I stand with the Pope. You yourself would not welcome a person into your community who did not reflect your values in their own life. This is true on every level of society, including people being turned away from restaurants for wearing flip-flops or getting removed from public places for not complying with codes of conduct. There’s a difference between loving someone and approving of everything they do. The bible clearly states that same-sex is a sin; why are you angry at the Pope for not welcoming a person, who openly commits sin, into a leadership position. It’s like I would be angry with the president of the united states for not letting a hard-core communist becoming secretary of state.
