Thank you for you comment Shannon. I have a problem with people demanding it, I have a problem with people getting offended if I either get it wrong or refuse to comply - just like I wrote in the article, I'm ok with he/his and she/her - but, I'm not going to comply with xir/xis, they/them, yix/yxz etc. - I have a transgender friend, who's turned from male to female and likes to be called she/her, I'm happy to do so, particularly because the way she expresses herself, her clothing etc. all say woman, even if she still has very masculine features. I know she prefers to be referred to this way, but my friend is not a brat and whenever we're out in public she doesn't make a huge drama if somebody calls her, he. She doesn't even pay attention to it, we keep on talking or shopping and the world stays intact. She is graceful, kind, and generous and I love her for it.
