You're right it does, but this is the reason I wrote the article. I'm stating my argument against - I'm not the only one, there are plenty of people, particularly in the education system (such as teachers) that are starting to really struggle. Their students change their pronouns on regular basis, sometimes several times a day, and when the teacher refers to them by the pronoun they had yesterday, the students become abusive and accuse the teacher of being a homophobe and insensitive. Now, multiply that one student by tens or hundreds and you have a disaster on your hands.
